Wespe Models is a manufacturer of resin models based in Ploiesti, Romania. The company was founded by Stefan Cirstea in 1996 and was originally specialized in military vehicles, mostly in typical scales for this kind of models such as 1/35th, 1/48th, 1/72nd, but a wide range of 1/87th scale models have also been released. After 2012, Wespe Models more and more diversified into civilian vehicles and introduced tractors and trucks in 1/16th, 1/22.5th and 1/32nd scale, 1/43rd scale fire engines, 1/50th scale construction vehicles and civilian versions of the models from the 1/87th scale range. Furthermore, a few cars in big scales such as 1/5th and 1/8th, as well as commercial vehicles in the very small 1/160th and 1/220th scales are also listed in the catalogue.
